It’s not quite over yet
(15.04.08)
Our commiserations to
Robinsons who lost
Men’s EHL status following an aggregate 3-2 defeat against
Kingston-upon-Hull last weekend in Chelmsford. After a 2-2 draw in Saturday’s first leg, their hearts were broken when Kingston scored the decider with just 3 minutes remaining. They now return to the
West of England & South Wales Hockey League next season.
This weekend the spotlight falls on
Lansdown as they start their five match play-off league, for a
Women’s EHL place next season, with a home tie against
Springfields UCLAN (North Region league winners) at Bournside School, Cheltenham (2pm start) on Sunday 20 April. Our best wishes go to them.
EH NATIONAL KNOCK-OUT COMPETITIONS
There was disappointment for
Yate U18 in their re-scheduled
Boys U18 Plate Quarter-final when they lost 8-0 at
Havant.
Congratulations to
Bournemouth who won the West round of the
Women’s Veterans Competition last weekend. They will now represent the West at the
National Finals at
Old Loughtonians HC on Sunday 4 May.
COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS
This weekend sees the
U15 & U17 County Championship Finals.
Devon U15 and
Gloucestershire U17 will be flying the flag for the West in the
Boys County Championships being held at the Highfields Sports Club, Nottingham on Saturday and Sunday whilst at the same time
Somerset U15 and
Devon U17 will be at The Edge Leisure Centre, Haslemere, Surrey for the
Girls County Championship.
Good luck to all four teams.
Results next week!
